Ride to Sturgis

In 2022, I graduated with my BFA in Photography, the same year my dad retired after more than twenty years in the military. It felt like we had both reached a turning point, closing one chapter and stepping into another. To celebrate, my dad, my younger brother, two family friends, and I set out on a road trip that stretched more than 6,000 miles across the country. We passed through small towns, open plains, and winding mountain roads, stopping at Yellowstone National Park and later at Sturgis Bike Week. Until then, I had never traveled beyond the East Coast. Seeing the country in this way changed something in me. It made me realize how vast and varied life can be, and how every place, no matter how brief the stop, leaves its mark on you.
