During college and for a while afterward, I called Baltimore, Maryland home—a city often recognized for the headlines it makes rather than the heart it holds. While I lived there, I spent countless days and nights wandering its streets, camera in hand, capturing the beauty hidden between the grit. From crumbling rowhouses to industrial skylines, every corner had a story. I even once found myself photographing an explosion at the old Domino Sugar factory. Despite its flaws, Baltimore is a city overflowing with character—its people, its architecture, its soul.
